I’m proud to have been asked to demo the Davis Amplification 2C8 guitar amp. I spent the last week or so with the 2C8 in the studio and I can certainly say it’s a fantastic guitar amplifier. It’s extremely versatile, allowing you to cover a wide range of styles – as you can hopefully see in the videos. I won’t bore you with words, I’ll let the tone speak for itself in the videos! However, I will say that there was very little mix processing needed to get the 2C8’s tone to sit well in a mix. You can get a fantastic recorded guitar sound, just by using the controls on the amp (the distortion channel’s ‘intensity’ was especially useful in getting the amp to sit well in the mix).
Without further ado, here’s the second video in the series – a bit of blues! I hope you enjoy.
All instruments, audio & video recorded, filmed and edited here at my studio near Leeds.
